A Federal Judge just Ruled the US Must Accept New DACA Applications!
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (“DACA”), is an executive order issued on June 15, 2012 by President Obama. It offers deportation protection work permits and social security numbers for those who are undocumented and came to the United States as children. It also appears that the new Biden administration may make DACA the first step towards Citizenship.
WHO’S ELIGIBLE FOR DACA?
Under age of 31 with no lawful status on June 15, 2012
Entered the U.S. before 16 years old
Continuously resided in the U.S. since June 15, 2007
Physically present in the U.S. on June 15, 2012
HS Grad, GED or honorably discharged veteran.
No felony or serious misdemeanor offenses
